EDUCATION AND INFORMATION
Our new series of classes on Independent Living With Vision Loss is now in progress.
Are you or a family member new to vision loss and wondering how you or your family member can maintain independence? Vision Northwest is now hosting a new class that will focus on learning new ways to do old things, what the changes will mean for you, and how to have a full life. Classes will be held the first 2 Tuesdays of each month, from 7:00 pm until 9:00 pm, in our office. Tuition is $25.00 per person. Class titles are: Introduction to Independent Living, Navigating Your Environment, You Can Do It Yourself, and Taking Charge of Your Life. Registration is required. You can call us to register or send an email to info@visionnw.com with your name, address, phone number, the date of the class you want to be in, and how many people will be attending.
Vision Northwest can provide educational training for health care professionals and their staff, community groups, retirement and assisted living facilities, schools, and other interested groups. A staff member or volunteer will make a presentation that includes information on how the eye works, what are the most common eye diseases, and how these diseases affect vision. Ideas on maximizing remaining vision will be presented. For more information on this program, contact: info@visionnw.com.
