PEER SUPPORT GROUPS
Vision Northwest has a network of vision loss support groups throughout Oregon and Southwest Washington. These groups provide support and information to individuals dealing with sight loss.
The meetings are generally held monthly, and are led by volunteers who are usually also experiencing vision loss. Group experiences may include discussion, speakers, looking at adaptive equipment, sharing experiences, going on field trips, and talking with each other. Currently, there are over 45 support groups that meet on a regular basis.
